The new yacht club was built last year in 2005 after the previous one burned to the ground.
Also you see an anti-aircraft gun (I think that's what it is) that is monumented at the park and the plague below reads, "In Memory Of Our Heroic War Dead Armstrong Memorial Branch 19 Royal Canadian Legion". In the distance you can see the NFLD Ferry making it's way from the North Sydney Port at Marine Atlantic.
