We spent a lovely weekend with the kids in Cheticamp, which is a little Acadian village on the west coast of Cape Breton. We visited the gallery's, museums, gift shops, etc. Another website for you. http://cheticampns.com We had a really good time.
My husband bought me this nice reproduction of a painting by Maud Lewis who was a Nova Scotia Folk Artist. I've included a website if you're interested. http://www.agns.gov.ns.ca/maudlewishouse/
Cheticamp is famous for rug hooking and my daughter really enjoyed watching and participating in the demonstrations. http://floras.com/rugs.html

I took these pictures with my 35mm camera which was before I got my digital camera and well before I got my DSLR camera so you'll probably notice the quality of these pics are not quite the same. To be honest with ya, I think they pretty much suck compared to the others but that's all I had at the time and it was better than nothing and the important thing is that I got to capture these precious memories on film to look back at for years to come.
